Selecting Auspicious Dates and
Core Principles
择吉日与核心原则
If you are planning to
move into a new house or moving an office/shop/factory, it is essential to
choose auspicious dates and times according to the birth charts (bazi) of
family members and the house's orientation. Three key dates to select are the
Earth Breaking Date, House Shifting Date, and Start of Operation Date. 如果您计划搬入新居或搬迁办公室/商店/工厂，必须根据家庭成员的八字（bazi）和房屋坐向，选择吉日吉时。需要确定的三个关键日期是：动土日、搬迁日和开始运作日。
Selecting these
auspicious dates is a complex process that requires careful study of various
factors. Once the dates are selected, a simple ceremony can be performed. This
ceremony shows respect to Heaven, Humanity, Earth (天人地), and the environment. 择吉是一个复杂过程，需要仔细研究各种因素。一旦选定日期，即可进行简单仪式。此仪式旨在向天人地和环境表达敬意。
Selecting these auspicious
dates is a complex process that requires careful study of various factors. Once
the dates are selected, a simple ceremony can be performed. This ceremony shows
respect to Heaven, Humanity, Earth (天人地), and the environment.
择吉是一个复杂过程，需要仔细研究各种因素。一旦选定日期，即可进行简单仪式。此仪式旨在向天人地和环境表达敬意。
I. Earth Breaking Ceremony / 动土仪式
- Prepare four sets of fruits (such as apples, mandarins,
bananas, and pears), sweets, and three cups of Chinese tea.
准备四份水果（如苹果、橘子、香蕉、梨）、甜点和三杯中国茶。
- Ensure that the number of fruits is odd, as odd numbers
are associated with Yang energy, and even numbers with Yin, according to
the I-Ching.
水果数量必须为单数，因为根据《易经》，单数关联阳气，偶数关联阴气。
- Place the fruits, sweets, and tea at four locations in
your house: Northwest, Southeast, Northeast, and Southwest.
将供品摆放在四个方位：西北、东南、东北、西南。
- For those who use incense (joss stick), pray and place
the incense on the fruits until it burns out. If you do not use incense,
simply pray at the locations and state your wishes.
使用香（寿香）者，祈祷后将香插在水果上直至燃尽。不使用香者，只需在相应方位祈祷并陈述愿望。
- Begin praying in the Northwest, followed by the
Southeast, Northeast, and finally the Southwest.
祈祷顺序：从西北开始，接着是东南、东北，最后是西南。
- Break a small piece of the wall at a designated correct
spot.
在指定的吉位敲破一小块墙壁。
- After February 4 at 4:03 AM, avoid breaking walls in
the following areas:
2026年2月4日 4点03分后，以下方位不宜动土破墙：
- South (正南): The 5 Yellow Position (五黃位)
- North (正北): The Three Killings Position (三煞位)
- North (正北): The Grand Duke Position (太岁位)
- South (正南): The Year Breaker Position (岁破位)
- The phrase "不可在太岁头上动土" means you should not disturb these sectors
before attending to other areas, as a sign of respect. After breaking the
correct piece of the wall, you may continue renovations elsewhere.
“不可在太岁头上动土” 意味着在处理其他区域之前，不应干扰这些方位，以示尊重。敲破正确的墙壁后，方可继续其他区域的装修。
- Important: After the ceremony, the construction should
begin immediately and should not exceed two days from the ceremony date.
重要提示： 仪式后，工程必须立即开始，且不得超过仪式日期两天。
- During the ceremony, it is vital to maintain a calm and
peaceful atmosphere—no arguments should occur. Pray with sincerity and a
pure heart.
仪式期间，保持平静祥和的氛围至关重要——切忌争吵。心怀虔诚和纯净之心祈祷。
II. House Shifting Ceremony / 搬迁仪式
The process for this
ceremony is similar to the Earth Breaking ceremony with some additional steps:
此仪式流程与动土仪式相似，但增加了一些步骤：
- Prepare four sets of fruits (apples, mandarins,
bananas, pears), sweets, and three cups of Chinese tea, ensuring an odd
number of fruits.
准备四份水果（苹果、橘子、香蕉、梨）、甜点和三杯中国茶，确保水果数量为单数。
- Place the items in the four corners of your house:
Northwest, Southeast, Northeast, and Southwest.
将供品摆放在屋内的四个方位： 西北、东南、东北、西南。
- Pray in the same order as in the Earth Breaking
ceremony.
以相同的顺序祈祷（西北 -> 东南 -> 东北 -> 西南）。
- If you have an altar, move it a few days before the
shifting date, covering the idol's eyes with red paper. On the auspicious
shifting day, remove the paper and begin the prayers.
如果您有神坛，需提前几天搬迁，用红纸遮盖神像眼睛。在吉日当天，取下红纸并开始祈祷。
- After the prayer, place essential cooking items like
rice, oil, salt, vinegar, and tea leaves in the kitchen. Boil water or
cook something to symbolize the start of living in the home.
祈祷后，在厨房放置米、油、盐、醋、茶等必需品。煮水或烹饪食物，象征新生活的开始。
- Before the ceremony, activate the house's energy by
turning on all lights and fans. You can hang a red cloth at the main
entrance but do not hang it more than 15 days.
仪式前，打开所有灯光和风扇激活房屋能量。可以在大门悬挂红布，但悬挂时间不得超过15天。
- A housewarming party with laughter and children will
enhance the energy of the space.
举办充满笑声和儿童的入伙派对能增强空间能量。
- Again, maintain a peaceful and calm atmosphere during
the ceremony.
同样，仪式期间保持平和、平静的氛围。
III. Start of Operation
Ceremony / 开始运作仪式
This follows the same
steps as the Earth Breaking and House Shifting ceremonies, but with the
intention of activating the energy for business or work.
此仪式遵循动土和搬迁仪式的相同步骤，但目的是激活商业或工作能量。
- Turn on all lights and fans to activate the energy
before the prayer.
祈祷前，打开所有灯光和风扇激活能量。
- Hosting a party in the shop or office can further
enhance the positive energy, especially with laughter and children
present.
在商店或办公室举办派对能进一步增强正能量，尤其是有笑声和儿童在场。
