The Hardware and Software of Feng Shui or the yang yin of feng shui.

There are many schools of taught in the studies of Feng Shui, let us look into the most popular and effective study in Feng Shui, that is the峦头 “luan tou” and理气 “li qi”.

峦头 “luan tou”is yang of feng shui i.e. Whatever you can see. Whereas, whatever you cannot see is yin of feng shui, 理气 “li qi”.

Basically, Feng Shui is divided into the hardware 峦头 luan tou and the software 理气 li qi. It is similar to the fact that we require the hardware and software in order to operate a computer. The same concept is applied when it comes to human beings, whereby the hardware is our physical body and the software is our mental, mind and soul. Missing either one, we will not be able to function properly.

先看峦头, 再看理气 We have to study the space & location first before we study the flow of qi.

峦头 luan tou (space & location) is the physical influence of the surrounding environment周围环境internally and externally which cannot be changed overnight. 峦luan means hill; mountains in a range. This can be classified as internal luan tou 内峦头and external luan tou 外峦头.

If there is a sharp edge of the opposite house or building pointing towards your main door, it will create awful Feng Shui known as the “cock beak killing” 鸡嘴煞.

 TM Tower

The TM Tower in Kuala Lumpur looks like a sharp knife. It is very inauspicious in Feng Shui to face the edge of the building that looks like a knife; it is akin to having a knife being pointed at you. Here, it looks like the nearby buildings are facing a knife which is cutting on the buildings, thus the ‘qi’ from TM Tower is very bad to the buildings facing its sharp edge. It is obvious that the buildings facing the sharp edge are not doing very well.

The recent completed walk bridge near the heart of our capital, KLCC (Petronas Tower) looks like a COFFIN and it is pointing at the Petronas Tower. Do you notice how bad we are in term of economy, health and politics after its completion? We depends heavily on Petronas but look at the world price of petroleum now. Also, weak Ringgit with uncertain MCO.  Hence, my dear architects, do not simply design any awful buildings you like. The shape of a building is important in term of the studies in feng shui. If it looks like a sharp knife, it is a sharp knife. If it looks like a coffin, it is a coffin. As of 4 April 2020, we have 57 coffins due to Covid-19 Virus!

Penang lang should still remember the Previous UMNO Building at Macalister Road which its sharp bar on top was blown down by a strong wind and buried a man in his car which they are still underneath the road? Can you see how bad Penang Times Square and M Mall are now? They are actually hit by the KERIS of the Previous UMNO Building.

The reason why Gabungan Parti Sarawak is very strong in Sarawak is because of the feng shui of the Sarawak Assembly Hall (Dewan Undangan Negari Sarawak). The design of the Assembly Hall looked like a bird cage. Sarawak is known as Bumi Kenyalang ("Land of the Hornbills") and hornbill is state bird of Sarawak. The cage detains the hornbill and control it.

Also, the Assembly Hall is located at an auspicious location which is the place of 玉带环抱. The river flow of the River of Sarawak forms the 玉带环抱

Gabungan Parti Sarawak之所以在砂拉越仍然坚不可克，是因为砂拉越州议会堂的风水。州议会堂的设计看起来像鸟笼，而砂拉越则被称为Bumi Kenyalang犀鸟之地。犀鸟是砂拉越的州鸟。笼子关着犀鸟并加以控制。

另外，礼堂位于玉带环抱的吉祥位置。砂拉越河的河水形成了玉带环抱.

The men-made river in the Forbidden City is called the Golden Water River 金水河 and the flow the river is bent and curved and it is auspicious as if the flow of the river is bent and curved then it is passionate. Whereas, straight flow of water is ruthless instead.

The shape of the Golden Water River 金水河in front of the Hall of the Supreme Harmony (the main hall in the Forbidden City) 太和殿 is known as the 玉带环抱 ‘yu dai huan bao’ a jade belt around your waist. It is like someone is hugging and protecting you.

You will notice the application of the bow concept in the Forbidden City of Beijing, China whereby the men-made river is built like the shape of 弓 bow is designed at the entrance of the palace which is a design to protect the palace against any undesired qi. The palace is located inside the bow, so it is protected by the bow.

故宫里的人造河被称为“金水河”，它的水流是弯曲的，这是吉祥的，相反，直接流动的水是无情的。

太和殿位于故宫正门前的金水河形状，被誉为玉带环抱“ yu dai huan bao”。就像有人在拥抱和保护您。

Water is wealth and today the road surrounding you is your wealth. It replaces the river. In Feng Shui, we say that straight water is ruthless, curved water is sentimental. Houses facing straight roads are generally not good in feng shui. Cars in front of your house if move too fast then the Qi doesn’t stop and cannot be contained. Auspicious road should be curved and at 玉带环抱 ‘yu dai huan bao’ Jade belt was a belt worn by ranking officials in the old China. It is auspicious.

It is because of if you own a land at A, the flow of the river water from the mountain will make the land opposite which is A smaller but your land at B becomes larger instead. If the water flows from the mountain and after a long time, the opposite bank of the river will be eroded due to the flow of water and the land becomes smaller, but instead this side of river bank will become larger due to the precipitation of the flow of water. The opposite side is defined as 反弓水 bend bow water, which is an inauspicious location, then your luck in terms of wealth and relationship with others will not be prosperous. 玉带环抱 ‘yu dai huan bao’ (Jade belt was a belt worn by ranking officials in the old China) is like someone is hugging and protecting you.

The most powerful and wealthy kings in the world are the King of Thailand and the Sultan of Brunei. Both of them, their palaces are located at 玉带环抱 ‘yu dai huan bao’ , Jade belt embracing.

世界上最有权势和最富有的国王是泰国国王和文莱苏丹。他们两个人的宫殿都位于玉带环抱“ yu dai huan bao”。

The roads and Klang River formed the 玉带环抱, Jade belt embracing. 

Mid Valley Shopping Mall is a renowned commercial and business shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur. The traffic flow around the shopping mall and the Klang River next to it is like a jade belt surrounds the waist of an officer 玉带环抱, Jade belt embracing. The roads that surround the mall form a circle around the mall. Thus, all the qi is surrounding the building. It is auspicious in term of feng shui as it is like someone is protecting the Mid Valley Shopping Mall by hugging it. Thus, the mall is enjoying good business and it manages to attract the crowd. The mall has all the玉带环抱 jade belt surrounds the waist of an officer that it needs. Also, when you enter the compound of the mall, the cars must move around the mall with lower speed, that actually move the Qi gentle and gradually to slow down the flow of water and you can gain the wealth. This is why the “Jade belt embracing” is good choice of road in feng shui.

I always confident that China will able to fight the Covid-19 Virus. If you see the steps that used by the China Government to stop the virus. Obviously, there are expert advice from Yi Jing, which also reflects the Chinese government's high recognition of China's excellent traditional culture. Many say China is communist country and they should not believe in any religion. But, from what they have done to fight this Covid-19, there is application of Yi Jing

Don't you feel funny when you see China named the two hospitals in Wuhan? The two emergency hospitals in Wuhan have been named Vulcan Mountain 火神山and Lei Shen Mountain雷神山, respectively. I have never seen a hospital named with such name. Obviously Yi Jing Feng Shui knowledge has been used.

Why FIRE is used?

From the perspective of the five elements, kidney is water element. The lung and respiratory system is gold. I always analyze the bazi and found that those undesired element is water, then it is easy for him to hit by kidney problem. If the person is easily flu and cough, then his undesired element is GOLD. “Balancing is the key” 中庸之道 too much of anything is bad and vice versa. If your bazi your gold element is too strong, then please care of your respiratory system.

 The lung disease is evil gold. In 2020庚子年, the year of Gengzi , Geng is Yang gold, gold is afraid of fire, and it is named Vulcan火神. Obviously, the meaning is to use fire to restrain evil gold. The same is true for the thunder god, thunder is electricity and fire. The thunder god assists the fire god. Not only that, there is a mountain word on the back of Vulcan Mountain and Thunder God Mountain. The mountain is Gen Gua, and the stop is Gen. In Yi Jing, there are 'Before Heaven Bagua' and 'Later Heaven Bagua', 'Later Heaven Bagua' also named as 文王八卦. Bagua , Eight Gua 八卦represent the eight natural phenomena. For instance, Qian Gua is Heaven or sky. Kun is Earth or Land. Kan is water. Gen is mountain.  Why is Vulcan Mountain 火神山 used? Mountain means stop. This is because the ancients saw that the mountain they could not passed through it, they have to stop. Obviously it was stop.

“火神山” : Used fire to burn the evil gold, lung virus Covid-19 and mountain to stop it.

Zhong Nanshan钟南山, the leader of the high-level expert group of the National Health Commission of China is the biggest contributor to the epidemic's restraint. His name 'Nan' is South and 'Shan' is mountain in Chinese respectively. In Later Heaven Bagua, Li Gua is FIRE. The south is the fire, which is the direction of the fire; Zhong Nanshan, Vulcan Mountain, and Lei Shen Mountain are matched to the extreme. The "thunder" in the sky, the "fire" on the ground, and the "Zhong Nan Mountain" on earth, and the three mountains will completely prevent the epidemic.

Our Director General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham, if you translate his name in Chinese, he is called 诺希山. We also have a mountain, 山, shan. Stay home and be strong and positive Malaysians. We will be OK.

In the fish eyes of Taiji, you will find there are white fish eye and black fish eye in the Taiji, with white in black and black in white; black is yin and yang is yang, this tells us that there is yang in yin and yin in yang. This means that there is yin in yang, yang in yin, harmonization of yin and yang. In the bodies of men, there are male hormones and some female hormones, this applies to as well as to the females.

在太极鱼眼中，您会发现太极里有白鱼眼和黑鱼眼，黑里有白，黑里有白。黑色是阴，白色是阳，这告诉我们阴中有阳，阳中有阴。这意味着阳中有阴，阴中有阳，阴阳协调。在男性体内，有男性荷尔蒙和一些女性荷尔蒙，对女性均如此。

Soft hearted ladies may be tough at time. Whereas, tough men will have soft heart. In tough has soft and in soft has tough. Therefore, the ancient Feng Shui book "Xue Xin Fu" records: Only yang is bad, and so as only Yin. Nevertheless, too yang is not good, and so as too yin. The balance between yin and yang is best.

柔顺的女士有时会很强硬。坚强的男人会拥有柔软的心。在坚强中有软，在软中有硬。因此风水古籍“雪心赋”记载：孤阳不生，独阴不长, 只有阳无阴是不佳的，只有独阴也是不好的。然而，太’阳’不好，太’阴’也不好。阴和阳之间的平衡最好。

The most important part of Yi-jing Feng Shui is 'The Doctrine of the Mean'. 'Yin and Yang Harmony' 'Lone Yang is not alive, the only Yin is not long' and 'everything if reaches its extreme will be reversed'. The place where you rest is your bedroom, It should be dark, then you can take a good rest. I can't switch on the headlights and tell you to sleep.

易经风水最重要的部分是“中庸”。 “阴阳和谐”“孤独的阳不生，唯一的阴就不长了”，“如果一切到了极点，一切都会逆转”。休息的地方是你的卧室，应该是黑暗的，然后才能好好休息。我不能打开大灯告诉你睡觉。

One of the meaning for yang is dynamic. It means we have to move when the Sun comes out. When we rest, we need yin. Hence, night time is yin time. Daytime is yang. A day changes from mild yang in the morning to strong yang at noon. Then to evening will be mild yin then strong yin at night. A day actually has four seasons. Life of a human being is also like that, when a baby is born, he or she will become more and more active when he or she grows up. When he or she get older, his or her body will become yin. That is what生老病死 born, old, sick and dead. Nobody can avoid and there is CHANGES. Therefore old men feel cold easily. Many do not understand why we feel hot but the old insists not to switch on the air-conditioning. This is because their bodies have become yin.

阳的含义之一是动态。这意味着当太阳出来时我们必须动。当我们休息时，我们需要阴。因此，晚上的时间是阴之时间。白天是阳。一天的变化是从早上的轻阳(少阳)到中午的强阳(老阳)。然后到傍晚将是轻阴(少阴)，然后在晚上将强阴(老阴)。一天实际上有四个季节。人类的生活也是如此，当婴儿出生时，他或她长大后会变得越来越活跃。当他或她变老时，他或她的身体会变阴。那就是生老病死的出生，年老，生病和死亡的原因。没有人可以避免，并且有变化。因此，老人容易感到寒冷。许多人不明白为什么我们会感到闷热，但老人们坚持不打开空调。这是因为他们的身体变得阴虚。

Hence, harmonization of yin and yang is important. In Feng Shui, the place we rest needs to be yin. The place where you rest is your bedroom, It should be dark, then you can take a good rest. I can't switch on the headlights and tell you to sleep. Whereas, the space for us to carry up our activities has to be yang, the space for your activities is your office and the study room. If the working place is too dark, then it will be very comfortable, people will not be able to work hard, lazy in the comfortable space every day. Therefore, Yin and Yang should be reconciled.

因此，阴阳协调很重要。在风水，我们休息的地方需要阴。休息的地方是你的卧室，应该是黑暗的，然后才能好好休息。我不能打开大灯告诉你睡觉。我们进行活动的空间必须是阳，而您的活动空间是您的办公室和书房。如果工作场所太暗，那将是非常舒适的，人们将无法好好打拼。因此，阴阳应该和好。

Same theory actually applied to a person. When you have to be tough, you have to be tough and vice versa. If you are too tough or stubborn, nobody likes to be your friend. However, if you are too soft all the time, others will take advantage of you. When you lead a team, you have to be firm in making any decision so that your team has a clear direction to move forward. If the leader is indecisive, he won’t be able to lead his team effectively. Therefore, he has to be firm and determined. However, if he will be too stubborn and be a dictator, make his decision without listening to others, his team won’t last long. This is Yin Yang Feng Shui.

同样的理论实际上适用于一个人。当必须要坚强时，就必须要坚强，反之亦然。如果您太强硬或固执，没人愿意成为您的朋友。但是，如果您一直太软弱，其他人会利用您。领导团队时，您必须坚定决策，以便团队有明确的前进方向。如果领导者优柔寡断，他将无法有效领导团队。因此，他必须坚定而坚定。但是，如果他太顽固并成为独裁者，在不听别人说话的情况下做出决定，那么他的团队就不会持续太久。这是阴阳风水。

A lot of knowledge is actually from Yi Jing. For instance, in the subject of economy, we say物以稀為貴 which means “Rare is more valuable” has been spelled out in Yi Jing 6000 years ago. In Yi Jing, when you make a divination占卜, if you get 2 yang and 1 yin, you take yin as the yao爻. Whereas, if you get 2 yin and 1 yang, you have to take yang as the yao .

实际上，很多知识都来自《易经》。例如，在经济问题上，我们说物以稀为贵，这意味着“稀有物品更有价值”已在6000年前的《易经》中阐明。在《易经》中，当您占卜时，如果得到2阳和1阴，就以阴为爻。而如果您得到2阴和1阳，则必须将阳作为为爻.

Therefore, in an army troop, there is only one military general 将帅but there are many soldiers. The soldiers have to protect the general将帅. If the general is captured then the soldiers will lose their direction and will be defeated easily. The theory of物以稀為貴“Rare is more valuable”has been spelled in Yi Jing.

因此，在一个部队中，只有一个将军元帅，但是有许多士兵。战士们必须保护将帅。如果将军被俘，那么士兵将迷失方向并容易被击败。易经拼写了物以稀为贵的理论。

Instead of saying Yi Jing is science. We should say science today is trying to explain what Yi Jing has said many years ago. If you study in detailed, actually human really seriously used science to enhance the quality of our lives was during the industrial revolution工业革命. If you study the history of oldest universities in the world, I thought it is Oxford University or Cambridge University but when I googled, it was University of Bologna, Italy, 1088. However,  Yi Jing, it was established 6000 years ago.

与其说《易经》是科学, 我们应该说，今天的科学正在试图解释易经多年以前所说的话。如果您进行详细研究，实际上是人类在工业革命期间才真正认真地使用科学来提高我们的生活质量。如果您研究世界上最古老的大学的历史，我以为它是牛津大学或剑桥大学，但是当我用Google搜索时，它是意大利的博洛尼亚大学（1088）。然而，易经网成立于6000年前。

We seriously used ‘science’ to change our lives by emphasizing in education and set up universities and offering degree certificates less than 1000 year ago. However, Yi Jing has established very primitively. No written language has developed during that time.  甲骨文 Oracle only developed about three thousand years ago. Then周文王 has written it down and established Yi Jing.

Instead of saying Yi Jing is science, we should say science is Yi Jing.

不到1000年前，我们通过重视教育，建立大学和提供学位证书，认真地利用“科学”来改变生活。但是，易经在非常原始时代已經存在了。在那期间，还没有语言的发展。甲骨文Oracle大约在3000年前才创立。然后，周文王将其写下来并将《易经》成书。

与其说易经是科学，不如说科学是易经。
