Do you know why the Tai Chi lines (S
line) is curved? It reminds us that being a person cannot be too straight forward
and do not know how to be flexible. If a person is straight and does not know
how to make a turn, stand still, you will easily hit the wall. If the road is
straight, it is easy to get into a car accident, because everyone will speed
up. The more curved the road, the more careful the driver must drive.
Therefore, in Feng Shui, we say that straight water is ruthless, curved water
is sentimental. Houses facing straight roads are generally not good in feng
shui. Sometimes we have to speak well without delivering our points straightly,
so that others can listen.
The masters of Taiji Quan Kung Fu know
the truth best because the soft and the hard bands in Taiji are all originally
from the Yijing. In the bodies of men, there are male hormones and some female
hormones, this applies to as well as to the females. This is the ‘balance’. This
means that there is yin in yang, yang in yin, harmonization of yin and yang.
Therefore, the ancient Feng Shui book "Xue Xin Fu" records: Only yang
is bad, and so as only Yin. Nevertheless, too yang is not good, and so as too yin.
The balance between yin and yang is best. That's why there are white fish eyes
and black fish eyes in the Taiji picture, with white in black and black in
white; this tells us that there is yang in yin and yin in yang.
Thus, when you are poor you have to change,
then only you can be better. If you do not want to change, you will finish
sooner or later. The higher you are, or the older you will become, the more
stubborn you will be.
Therefore, the ancient coins in the
ancient times were all have a square hole inside and round / circular outside, which actually reminded us that we must be
agile and flexible when dealing with others but we have to have integrity in
the heart. It also represents heaven, human and earth, because the ancients
found the sky is round, and the name of the emperor is in the middle, which is
human. The square in the middle represents the ground because the shape of the
soil is square in the study of the Five Elements.
It also reminds us that the peak of
the mountain is extremely cold, and the object must be reversed. When an object
is thrown up and reaches the apex, it must fall quickly. When you have to be
high, you stay high. When you need to stay at the bottom, you stay humbly at
the bottom there too. A gentleman should be flex and stretch. The first Qua in
64 Qua of the Book of Changes (Yijing), after the 95, the dragon flying in
the sky is 96 dragon will remorse, telling us that if a person stands high
and has power and authority, it is easy to lose himself and do not know how to
step down. Everyone will praise him because of his high weight. If you keep on occupying
the seat when your time is over, someone will pull you down. If your time is over, you have to leave. When it ’s time to step down, step down. We take the stage when the timing is right, but stepping down is depending on the wisdom of the man. The so-called high
places are extremely cold. If you are high up in the mountains, your enemies
will see your every move clearly from the below. It is very easy for them to
invade you. Therefore, Yi Jing emphasizes that the golden rule is MODERATE. If
the enemy is too strong, Sun Tzu's Art of War emphasizes that we avoid it and do
not force an attack.
