The Feng Shui Of Komtar, Penang.
Komtar is a very crucial spot in Penang. It is the state government administration centre. Moreover, it used to be the most popular commercial centre in the past. However, Komtar has lost its popularity nowadays and the previous BN state government has once planned to shift its state government administration centre away from Komtar.
What wrong with Komtar? It is a question to answer and I have tried hard to find out what goes wrong with Komtar. As a matter of fact, I tried to do it in the view angle of feng shui studies whenever I have any opportunity to go to Komtar. It has become one of my favorite topics.
If you know a very popular term in feng shui i.e. 左青龙 右白虎 前朱雀 后玄武 which is green dragon at the left, white tiger at the right, while red phoenix in front and whereas black turtle at the Back which illustrate that we should have supports particularly on our back and on our left. We should have firm support at our back as turtle is a very slow movement and quiet reptile as it acts as a firm support to us. Green dragon symbolizes nobleman and if there is a taller building at the left of your building, this indicates that you have the support. Sadly, I do not see any these at Komtar.
Furthermore, I noticed that all the roads are pointing towards Komtar. Thus, all inauspicious qi is moving towards Komtar. To make the situation worsen, the authority concerned put a dead tree at the area where both the Dato Kramat Road and Penang Road meet. Dead plant will create bad qi. With all these, Komtar did not shine for long.

Agree. KOMTAR is too lonely. It should have companions.
But, after these 3 years, there will be a 50-storey high Penang Times Square Hotel in the southwest of KOMTAR which I believe it will improve the situation better. Significant effect will then take place too. High building in southwest of KOMTAR means it makes the most of the top management of the local authorities dominated by aged or experienced woman.
Another problem for KOMTAR is that it has Menara UMNO in its northwest. The building is shaped in Keris (which I believe it is metal in element). I think it has very bad feng shui for KOMTAR. Despite its location in northwest, it creates problem for overall feng shui for Penang. Penang's bazi needs water and wood. Penang desperate for wood.
I think if there is black tall building, or huge water fountain built between Menara UMNO and KOMTAR, it will certainly generate income and harmony for Penang State Government. Where Metal produces water.
Thanks eeeclub for your comments and agree with all your inputs except I found that the UMNO building is a actual at the SW or W of the Komtar but I totally agree with you that the keris shaped building is harmful to Komtar.
