Singapore Feng Shui

The Fullerton Hotel which is the formal headquarter for Japanese Army when they ruled Singapore. As what I have said in the previous post, Japanese like to build building faces the East because they worship the Sun which you can notice from the flag of the Japan. It is because the Sun rises in the East. You would notice that the main entrance of the building is facing the East.

In my many articles, I have written about the River of Singapore and I like the way it has helped the feng shui of Singapore as water is wealth. It is like the month of Singapore and it is where the qi is to enter Singapore, month of qi.

Look at the ArtScience Museum which looked like a lotus. Lotus is the symbol of purity and it is an auspicious plant.

Many say the Arts Centre looked like the durian fruit but I feel that it looked like pineapple which is 'Ong Lai' in Hokkien. 'Ong Lai' in Hokkien means prosperity.
Hope to gain the wealth from the Merlion as water is wealth! Hahaha.....It is just a joke!

Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. The Marina Barrage is the result of former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s vision nearly two decades ago when he envisaged damming the mouth of the Marina Channel to create a freshwater reservoir. It illustrates again that Lee Kuan Yew takes the water of Singapore seriously and if you can control the water at the entrance of Singapore, you would be able to manage the wealth of the country.

The River of Singapore vs The Sungai Pinang

River of Singapore now

River of Singapore before 1977.

Sungai Pinang (River of Pinang) looks black from the Google Earth.

It is true that Sungai Pinang is black, oily and dirty.

Abandoned buildings near Sungai Pinang.

I have just shared a very crucial term in feng shui in my recent feng shui seminar at PISA which we say 山管人丁水管财 which means the mountain governs the people and the water governs the wealth. In fact, I have shared it many times in my blog, books and seminars. In Chinese, we say 山灵人杰 which means if there are wonderful mountains in a place, then there will be wonderful people from the place.

However, if you look at Singapore. Singapore is in fact an island on a very flat land. the tallest hill is Bukit Timah which is only 537 feet and Penang Hill is 2450 feet. You need to put 5 Bukit timah together in order to make a Penang Hill. Lee Kuan Yew knew exactly that he could not depend on the hills of Singapore, hence he used water.

In 1977, Lee Kuan Yew started to clear up the River of Singapore. Singapore started to attract talents around the world with their wealth as Singapore has wonderful water now. As a matter of fact, my friend, a senior lecturer from a popular Singapore college told me that many top students in her higher education institute are from Malaysia. Also, my daughter told me that many top students in her school have been offered scholarship to go Singapore even before they graduate from school. We have to admit that 人才外流 (talents go overseas) is a serious problem in Malaysia!

Look at Sungai Pinang (River of Penang). It is black, dirty and oily river. But, good to see that the State Government under the leadership of YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng has worked hard to clear the Sungai Pinang but I would say there are many rooms for improvement.

Go to Sungai Pinang and you will notice there are many abandoned buildings there as per the pictures I showed above!

The Feng Shui of Resort World Casino, Singapore (part 2)

As what I have promised earlier, here goes the other part of my findings about the Resort World Casino in Singapore.

The Space Elephant (Please refer to my earlier post on 28 Nov 2011)

Water is money and gaming or gambling industry is an industry of water element as per I have mentioned earlier. You will notice that at the entrance to the casino where the Space Elephant stands, there is a landscape of beautiful water flow and the water of the water flow is flowing towards the entrance. Thus, money is flowing into the Resort World Casino. The Space Elephant is helping to 'suck' the water.

The waving shape of the Resort World's logo is a symbol of water irregular shape and you can find an alphabet 'M' which stands for MONEY! It is an Excellent feng shui design for a logo!

Do you notice the shape of knife on top of the escalators that lead you to the main entrance of the casino? They 'chop' you before you enter into the casino.

The blades look like knives as well.

The Feng Shui of Resort World Casino, Singapore (part 1)

Singapore Universal Studio at night

"Space Elephant" at one of the entrance into the casino.

It was indeed a fruitful trip to Singapore whereby I have managed to meet up with some of my ex-university classmates, Chung Ling High School mates, conducted a few feng shui audits and met many great people there.

I have managed to spend sometimes to analyze the feng shui of the Resort World Casino and would like to share with you some of my findings.

Firstly, we understand that in feng shui, water is money and if you look at the 'space elephant' which is placed right in front of the entrance of the casino, the ears are big but the legs are long and thin. It is because if you refer to my book http://www.penangfengshui.com/index.php?pages=book_enjoyyourlife_ebook page 22, the table of the Later Heaven Bagua (It is a very crucial table), we relate our human organs to the 5 elements:-
1. Water element - ears, kidney, bladder.....as these are the organs that contain water.
2. Plant element - leg, hand, liver.....
3. Earth element - stomach....AND ETC
This is because we relate the natural phenomenon as human being 天人合一
Obviously, the Resort World Casino would like to have lots of money (water), thus, ears of the "Space Elephant" are big while the legs are thin and the stomach is relatively small. It is due to the facts that leg is plant element and stomach is earth element. Plant will reduce the energy of the water 洩 and earth clashes the water 克.
Instead, there is a triangle metal plate on top of the elephant. It is because triangle is the shape of the fire element as the shape of the fire is triangle. Please check the shape of the fire when you burn some thing. It is triangle, right? 我克者为财 It is wealth. Whereas, metal (gold) element grows water.

Also, when I measured the direction of the elephant, it faces 212 degree which is the 风水井 wind water well (feng shui well), hence the elephant is getting water from the well!

The Feng Shui of Singapore part 3

I received the article about the feng shui of Singapore from a friend of mine and feel some of the points are quite logical and hence I did some amendments and post it here to share with you.
Ever wonder why Singapore is known as a Garden City?
If you were to look at Singapore from the top, Singapore resembles a crab, with its mouth the Singapore River and its back facing Malaysia.
We all know that cooked crab (that means dead crab) is red, the colour of barren ground. But a live crab is basically a dark shade of green. So, by planting trees, you make Singapore look green and not red, and therefore alive.
Earlier, I said in my blog
http://penangfengshui.blogspot.com/2010/07/feng-shui-of-singapore-part-2.html that the one dollar coin displays a bagua, symbolic octagonal (8-sided) object and bagua is a powerful tool in feng shui and look at the road tax label and the country's fifty dollar bill, do you see a bagua too?

I m thinking that if the Singapore Government could believe in feng shui which I always regard it as a Chinese ancient powerful science and made Singapore a highly recognised country in the world even though it is only a small island. Why doesn’t the Penang Government follow their footstep and hire a group of renowned feng shui masters to help making Penang to shine brightly like Singapore. Of course, this group of feng shui masters does not include me.
Honestly, smart like specialist doctors, professional engineers, renowned entrepreneurs and etc came to me for solutions because they appreciate the ancient powerful science. Thus, nothing can stop me from sharing the great knowledge with others even though I do not like to force anyone to believe in it. Come to me if we are fated. Thank you very much.

The Feng Shui of Singapore part 2

As I mentioned in my book “How to enhance your wealth with feng shui?” http://www.penangfengshui.com/index.php?pages=info_book_01 page 100 that the ‘later heaven bagua’ is a very powerful tool.
Every 20 years, there will be a change of period (yun) and 1984 – 2003 is the period 7 and the number 7 flying star was in power. The star no 7 is at the West of the later heaven bagua hence United States which located at the West of the World ruled the World. 2004 – 2023 is the period 8 and the number star 8 is a star in power currently 得令星. The flying star 8 in the Later Heaven Bagua is at the North East and China is at the North East of the World thus China has started to shine from 2004. The future star in power will be the star no 9 which is at the South of the Later Heaven Bagua and Singapore is located relatively at the South. Furthermore all the important centers in Singapore are actually located at the South of Singapore Island which inclusive of the capital of Singapore, the Singapore City; the critical tourism spot, Sentosa Island and the business and commercial center are all located at the South of Singapore. Therefore, I predict that Singapore will continue to be prosperous for the coming decades.

As what I mentioned bagua, "trigrams" in English is actually a very powerful feng shui tool and you will notice that the one dollar Singapore coin is in the shape of bagua. Thus, all the citizens of Singapore carry bagua with them every day. It is in fact a superb and brilliant idea to bring prosperous to Singapore.

The Tang Plaza or the Marriott Hotel in the Orchid Road is with the shape of bagua and you can actually see there are lots of bagua surrounding the building. There are bagua on the floor, the ceiling and even the entrance. It is a way to avoid any unwanted or inauspicious qi. Even though the owner of the property was in fact a Christian.

Opposite the main entrance of the Marriott Hotel, there is a triangle pillar and the shape of triangle is actually the shape of the fire element as the shape of the fire is triangle. Thus, in order to eliminate the fire from the opposite building, there are trees to block it.

Please refer to my previous post if you wish to read more about my post about the feng shui of Singapore http://penangfengshui.blogspot.com/2010/07/feng-shui-of-singapore-part-1.html

The Feng Shui of Singapore part 1

It is my pleasure to visit Singapore again to feel the power of water there. In feng shui, we said 山管人丁水管财 Hill controls the people and water governs the wealth. Basically, Singapore is located on a piece of flat land and you can hardly see any hill there, thus, Singapore has to depend heavily on its water as there is no hill to be depended on. The Singapore Government has done an excellent in clearing the Singapore River as it is one of the 'main doors' of Singapore. The location of the Merlion which is the combination of a lion head and the body of fish at the 'main door' of Singapore is able to 挡煞 block the undesired qi from entering the country. In fact, I brought back a small Merlion and placed it at the entrance of my main door facing the front to help me to prevent any unwanted qi.
The river bank of the Singapore River has been adequately maintained. Penang Government is attempting to do so to clear the rivers of Penang and the move should be highly supported and appreciated. Nevertheless, the cooperation of all Penangites is very much required. At least, we should not throw the rubbish into the river.

Sands Skypark - new casino in Singapore which looked like a ship in the sky. The ship is facing the direction away from Singapore and not toward the inland of Singapore. This indicates that the Sands Casino is hoping to gain the profit and ship it back to its head office which is not in Singapore.
(To be continued)
