Understanding Global and Local Shifts Through Feng Shui, Bazi, and Ancient Astrology

The principles of Yi Ching (I-Ching) and Feng Shui offer insights into the changing dynamics of power, influence, and prosperity across the globe. These shifts can be analyzed through the Bagua (Eight Trigrams), the Flying Star Chart, and ancient Chinese astrology, providing a fascinating lens for understanding past, present, and future trends.

Global Shifts: Periods of Change and Regional Influence

Bagua and 20-Year Feng Shui Periods

Later Heaven Bagua

The Later Heaven Bagua reveals how regional dominance aligns with Feng Shui periods, each lasting 20 years:

·        Period 7 (1984–2003): Associated with the West (7 in the West on the Bagua), this was a time when Western powers, particularly Europe and the United States, dominated global affairs.

·        Period 8 (2004–2023): Linked to the Northeast, this period saw the rise of China and South Korea, both located in the Northeast. China's economic boom and South Korea's cultural exports, like K-pop and K-dramas, captivated the world.

·        Period 9 (2024–2043): Representing the South, this period forecasts a shift in influence to nations like India, Southeast Asia, and southern parts of Africa. With India now the most populous country and Indonesia gaining prominence, these regions are poised to shine. Additionally, resource-rich areas like Africa and Australia will benefit as the global fight for resources intensifies.

Malaysia: A Case Study in Regional Feng Shui Dynamics

Feng Shui Periods in Malaysia

Malaysia's development mirrors these global trends:

·        Period 7: West Malaysia dominated, while East Malaysia received little attention.

·        Period 8: East Malaysia gained prominence as its political importance grew, with its votes often determining the government.

·        Period 9: The South emerges as a key player. For example:

o   Kedah's industrial hub focus southward in Kulim.

o   Penang focuses on developing Batu Kawan and the Silicon Island in the south.

o   The Klang Valley expanded southward to areas like Semenyih, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya.

o   Johor has become a rapidly growing state.

o   Kuching in the south of Sarawak is flourishing.

Predictions for 2025

Annual Flying Star Chart

2025 Annual Flying Star Chart

·        Flying Star 9 (Ruling Star): Located in the East, bringing good fortune to Sarawak.

·        Dispute Star (3 Jade): Positioned in the Northwest, signaling potential political unrest in Penang and Kedah.

·        Auspicious Star 1: Found in the Southeast, promising a favorable year for Southeast Asia.

·        Worst star 5: Found in the Northeast, Earthquake at the Gunung Kinabalu may happen again. This suggests potential unrest or chaos in Sabah, particularly during the coming Sabah State election.

Spring Festival Bazi Analysis

the Spring Festival’s Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) 2025

The 2024 annual flying star chart

The Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) for 2025 appears more harmonious than 2024:

·        2024: Characterized by significant clashes, economic difficulties, and political unrest, including the Middle East war. The Bazi of 2024 was marked by numerous conflicting elements, resulting in a challenging year characterized by global economic hardships that impacted many people's daily lives. Additionally, the presence of the Argument Star (3 Jade) in the center of the 2024 annual flying star chart led me to predict the outbreak of war in the Middle East, a forecast that unfortunately came to pass with striking accuracy.

·        2025: Exhibits more harmonious interactions, suggesting a relatively stable and peaceful year. However, economic growth may remain sluggish, and caution is advised regarding scams and fraud.

Another method of Chinese Astrology, the Zi Wei Dou Shu Predictions

·        Tian Liang Star transformation into Quan: Quan signifies power and authority and Tian Liang represents elder leadership. In Malaysia, older political figures may dominate the scene. Malaysia's political landscape will be particularly noteworthy, as it continues to be dominated by seasoned leaders such as Hadi, Muhyiddin, and Anwar Ibrahim. Furthermore, the presence of the Argument Star (3 Jade) at the Northwest (Old men palace) of the 2025 annual flying star chart prompted my prediction of ongoing political conflicts among the nation’s top leaders.

·        Tian Ji Star transformation into Lu: Lu signifies wealth. Tian Ji Star is linked to wisdom and strategy, benefiting consultancy, education, agriculture, and healthcare industries. Malaysia’s medical tourism and durian plantations could thrive.

Malaysia’s 2025 Outlook

Astrological Insights: The Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) with the birthday of Malaysia.

On August 31, 1957, more than 20,000 people gathered to witness Malaysia’s Independence Ceremony, which officially commenced at 9:30 AM. Tunku Abdul Rahman read the Proclamation of Independence, followed by seven powerful chants of "Merdeka!" Using this historic moment, I analyzed Malaysia’s Eight Characters (Bazi) birth chart. Additionally, I incorporated the formation of Sabah and Sarawak on September 16, 1963, as a reference point for further analysis.

·        Yi Wood Fire Snake Year: Offers economic support but highlights potential transportation issues, such as flight delays and accidents.

·        Political Challenges: The clash of elements and Malaysia’s current major 10 years luck cycle suggest political instability, particularly in Sabah, which may experience unrest during elections. The Annual Flying Stars place the Five Yellow Misfortune Star in the Northeast, directly affecting Sabah. This suggests potential unrest or chaos in Sabah, particularly during the coming Sabah State election. Recent corruption scandals involving state assembly members could be just the beginning.

·        Hai Ma : Indicates a surge in travel and tourism. Aviation and entertainment industries will likely flourish, but travelers should prepare for delays and disruptions. However, Si Fire also clashes with Malaysia’s Daily Branch (Hai Water), forming a "Hai-Ma Clash." This indicates a higher likelihood of transportation accidents and continued flight delays or cancellations.

Economic Opportunities
Selangor stands to benefit from its focus on semiconductor industries, aligning with the wisdom and fire elements of Period 9. This is due to the Wen Chang Star which is a wisdom star is in the West in the 2025 annual flying star chart,

Conclusion

The global and local trends forecasted for 2025 underscore the intricate interplay between ancient wisdom and modern realities. While challenges like world economic stagnation and political instability persist, the overall outlook for 2025 is one of relative harmony and stability compared to the turbulence of 2024. Regions aligning with the energies of Period 9, including Southeast Asia and resource-rich areas, are set to thrive, signaling a dynamic and transformative era ahead.

Exploring the Influence of Snakes and My Journey in Feng Shui

Question 1: The Significance of Snakes in History and Culture

Snakes in Chinese Ancient History

In ancient Chinese history, snakes hold a prominent place, particularly in connection to the legendary figures Fuxi and Nüwa. These two mythical beings are central to Chinese culture and metaphysics:

Fuxi and Nüwa intertwined was discovered in the silk painting

DNA

The symbol of medicine worldwide

  • Fuxi and Nüwa in Chinese Mythology
Fuxi is credited with creating the I Ching (Book of Changes) and the Eight Trigrams, essential foundations in Chinese metaphysics. Nüwa, on the other hand, is said to have created humanity. Together, they are part of the Three Sovereigns, which also include Shennong, the Divine Farmer.
According to legend, Shennong was their father, and Fuxi and Nüwa were siblings as well as spouses, resembling the Adam and Eve narrative in Western culture.
  • Archaeological Insights
The earliest depiction of Fuxi and Nüwa entwined was discovered in a silk painting at the Mawangdui archaeological site in Changsha, Hunan Province. The imagery of two intertwined snakes strikingly resembles the structure of DNA and the symbol of medicine worldwide—a staff with two coiled serpents. These similarities continue to intrigue historians and scientists alike, reflecting the profound symbolic meaning of snakes in ancient times.

Snakes in Global Mythology and Religion

1.     Ancient Egypt

Snakes symbolized power and protection. The uraeus, a cobra-shaped emblem, adorned pharaohs' crowns as a sign of divine authority.

2.     Greek Mythology

Snakes were linked to wisdom, medicine, and reborn. The Rod of Asclepius, featuring a serpent coiled around a staff, remains a universal symbol of healthcare and medicine.

3.     The Bible

In Genesis, the snake represents temptation and deceit, luring Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. This association marks snakes as symbols of danger and betrayal in Christian theology.

4.     Eastern Culture

In Chinese culture, snakes are often connected to dragons, symbolizing transformation, prosperity, and wisdom. They hold a respected place in the Chinese zodiac and other cultural traditions.

Question 2: My Busy Schedule and Talks

This time of year is particularly busy as I provide insights into the coming year’s energies. I am frequently invited to give talks for organizations, including banks and developers, focusing on Lunar New Year feng shui predictions and practical advice. These talks aim to help people align with the year’s energies, maximize opportunities, and mitigate potential challenges.

Additionally, my schedule includes numerous consultations for individuals and businesses, helping them harmonize their homes or offices with favorable feng shui principles. Each consultation is tailored to the client’s unique circumstances, focusing on personal growth, prosperity, and harmony.

Question 3: What I Bring to a Feng Shui Consultation

When assessing the feng shui of a home or office, I bring the following tools:

1.     Luopan (Chinese Feng Shui Compass): Essential for determining the property’s precise orientations and energy alignments.

2.     Reference Materials: Used for analyzing flying star charts, annual afflictions, and other relevant data.

3.     Measuring Tools and Floor Plans: Necessary for accurate spatial analysis. Clients typically provide the layout plans for their properties.

4.     Bazi Reports and Zodiac Analysis: These are prepared in advance using the client’s birthdate and time, ensuring the property’s feng shui aligns with their personal energy profile.

Question 4: Key Focus Areas During a Feng Shui Audit

1.     External Environment: I examine the surrounding landscape, nearby structures, and overall external qi (energy) influences.

2.     Property Layout: The alignment of entrances, bedrooms, kitchens, and living spaces is analyzed in relation to compass directions and energy flow.

3.     Annual Energies: Each year introduces different energies that can impact a property. I assess how these interact with the existing feng shui.

4.     Qi Flow: Ensuring smooth qi flow without obstructions or disruptions is a primary goal during the evaluation.

Question 5: My Journey to Feng Shui

I began my career as an engineer, earning a First-Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, where I was also a Dean’s List student. After working as an engineer and manager for a multinational corporation, my fascination with Chinese metaphysics led me to a new path.

Over the past two decades, I have dedicated myself to studying and practising feng shui, striving to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern practicality. Growing up in Penang, a city rich in cultural heritage, inspired my interest in the relationship between architecture, energy, and well-being.

Today, I specialize in making feng shui and I-Ching concepts accessible and logical, presenting them in a scientific manner. My mission is to help individuals, families, and businesses achieve harmony, success, and fulfillment through the art and science of feng shui.
