The
Light(e Gate)通往亚依淡发林的亚依淡至林苍祐绕道Air Itam to Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu
Expressway Bypass.
From eGate to the
Turtle’s Heart — A New Path of Positive Energy
Hi everyone, I’m Penang
Feng Shui Master Lee.
In Feng Shui, water
represents wealth, because water is the source of life.
The Chinese character for “live” (活)
contains the water radical (氵),
showing how vital water is for our survival.
Ancient civilizations —
like those along the Yellow River and the Indus River — all grew around water.
Back then, rivers served as highways. People fished, farmed, and transported
goods by boat.
Many harbors were formed where rivers met the sea — and that’s how wealthy
cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, and New York came to be.
Today, roads are the
new rivers, and highways represent the flow of wealth in modern times.
Right now, Penang is
building a major new highway — the Ayer Itam–Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway
Bypass — connecting The Light to Farlim.
The Light sits near eGate, and do you know why it’s called “eGate”?
Because it’s located at the East Gate of Penang Island — a symbolic
entry point of energy and prosperity.
Even more fascinating —
when viewed from above, Penang Island is shaped like a turtle, more than
any other island in the world.
In Feng Shui, the turtle is an auspicious symbol, representing
longevity, stability, and protection.
(You can refer to my earlier article about the turtle shape of Penang Island.)
From a Feng Shui
perspective, water or movement flowing in from the East brings powerful
positive Qi into the land, resembling wealth flow from the East to the heart of
the turtle.
This new expressway
acts like the blood vessel of the turtle, channeling life force into its
heart — the central part of Penang.
A road, an eastern
gate, and a divine turtle — all signs that Penang is entering a new
era of prosperity and transformation.
